CD04 STOP! G0! GOOD DOG!
A one day course in the practical application of the use of signals of reward and non-reward in dog training.
Written by Dave Brice.
Tutored by Dave Brice and Val Strong.
OCN Accreditation - None.

On this course, you will learn how to signal clearly to a dog so that he learns quickly what you want him to do, and equally clearly so that he understands when to stop what he is doing and wait for your next communication in training.

Using only up to the minute, kind and effective techniques based on positive reinforcement, you will learn the art of effective signalling using clickers and discs and the crucial importance of good timing.

The course consists of a combination of practical and theoretical exercises, although the practical aspects do take precedence.

The dogs used for the exercises are predominantly from a small animal sanctuary so students will be helping to train these dogs at the same time as learning themselves. Only dogs with suitable temperaments are used.
